A liberal will look at this picture and worry that the beach might be dangerous because it’s filled with gun-toting women. Actually, it’s the opposite.
It’s better to pack a gun and show a little cheek than be unarmed and turn the other cheek.
To an Israeli, these photos make perfectly practical sense. When soldiers take their weapon off military premises, they must guard it closely and keep it on their person, at all times. Having one’s weapon stolen is harshly punished with time in military prison a given.
Now tell the truth, if you had to buy a box of Skittles and an ice tea at a convenience store, wouldn’t you feel safer finding the counter filled with these girls packing weapons rather than bookbags?
